SCARLET IBIS, THE BIRD COLLECTION

This is an original linocut print, limited edition of 100.

Inspired by the beauty this striking South American shorebird. The Scarlet Ibis, as flamingos, own its brilliant red colour thanks to the carotene found in the crustaceans on which it feeds.

This print has been hand-carved from an original drawing. After hand-inking every colour layer, I use a beautiful Victorian book press to complete the process. All prints are numbered and signed.

Printed with Cranfield oil based ink in multiple colours onto 190gsm off white acid free semi-smooth paper.

Please note that each print is completely unique so speckling and print finishes may vary slightly from the photos. The same applies to the tones in colour.
